My 2017 Favourites!

Welcome back once again to Scrapbookit!

This time I am here to share with you my own favourite four!
Four layouts that I created for the Scrapbookit blog in 2017.

I actually found this very many favourites throughout the year. I could have picked so many!!

Here goes...

My first favourite layout was featured on the blog in January 2017.
It was created using the very gorgeous paper 'Oh Happy Life' by Amy Tangerine.
I love this photo of Jason and I...

My next favourite layout was featured on the blog in April 2017.
It was created using the very gorgeous Kaisercraft 'P.S. I Love You' paper collection.
I love the background where I used modelling paste and Colour Blast Shimmer Dust - Velvet. The best bit was that the background colour was a mistake for another layout and it just happened that it worked for this layout.

The next of my favourite layouts is the workshop I ran at our May Retreat.
It featured on the blog in May 2017.
This is one of my favourite layouts of all time. It was lots of fun to create.
It helps that I used some of my most favourite products Colour Blast.

The final of my favourite layouts was featured just recently on the blog after I had the honour of standing alongside my beautiful friend as she married the love of her life in November 2017.
It was created using the very gorgeous Kaisercraft paper Rose Avenue.
One very special photo, special day and special layout!

Well that's it from me, all of my 2017 favourites. It has been fun going back through the blog and revisiting all of the gorgeous work created by the girls in 2017.

I will be back next week to share a heap of layouts that I created in 2017 that haven't featured on the blog...
Until then,

My 2017 Favourites by Jane!

Welcome back to Scrapbookit today!

As promised, I am here to share some more of my favourites.
I hope that you had a chance to check out my four favourites created by Jo and you were able to go back to the blog to check them out in more detail.

Today though I am here to share my four favourites created by the very talented Jane!
We are super lucky to have her on our design team and I am totally in awe of the projects that she creates.

Well, here goes my favourite four created by Jane...

The first layout was featured on the blog in August 2017.
It was created with lots of different products. Jane has featured the Photo Play Paper Seeds of Kindness paper collection.
I just love how Jane has created her own background, I love the stamping and I love the multitude of amazing papers, tags and products used on this layout.
Absolutely gorgeous!

The second layout featured on the blog in October 2017.
It was created using the Echo Park 'That's My Boy'
paper collection.
I love how this layout just works so well together.
I love the products that Jane has used and I particularly love the stencilling that she has done. Such a cute layout!

The third layout of my favourites was also created in October 2017.  This was also using the Echo Park - That's My Boy paper collection.
Once again, Jane has shown off her talent for creating amazing looking backgrounds for her layouts. The background is my favourite part of this layout...besides the gorgeous photo!!!

The final layout was featured on the blog just recently, in November 2017.
It was created with the Ultimate Crafts 'Bohemian Bouquet' paper collection.
Not only is Jane very clever with backgrounds but she is the queen of making "busy" work! Making busy all come together and including so many little features, embellishments and papers all on one layout successfully is another of her talents!
I love the colours, the quote and every little feature of this layout.

Well, as I have said blessed am I to work alongside these very talented ladies?
How lucky we are to be able to be inspired by their projects each month...and it is free!!!!!

Make sure you head back to the blog to check out the finer details of these, my favourite four layouts created by Jane!

See you next week to share with you my own favourite four from 2017!

My 2017 Favourites by Jo!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I hope that you all have had a wonderful start to the New Year!

As Jane explained we are all having a bit of rest from creating for the blog this month. So we are going to share with you some of our favourites.

Today I am going to share with you four of my most favourite layouts that Jo created in 2017! It was lots of fun going back through the blog...what a great year on our little blog, lots of incredible inspiration and lots of fantastic layouts and projects.
So much so that it was incredibly hard to pick my favourites.

I have ended up picking four that I want to highlight as my favourites :)
Here goes...

The first featured in March 2017. It was created with the gorgeous
7 Dots Studio 'Cotton Candy Dreams' paper collection.
I love the papers, the colours, the techniques and products.
An absolutely sensational layout in every way.

The second also featured in March 2017. It was created also with the gorgeous
7 Dots Studio 'Cotton Candy Dreams' paper collection.
The photo in this layout is just divine, I love the chipboard embellishment and the title 'Imagine.'
So beautiful!

The third layout featured in April 2017. It was created with the beautiful
Kaisercraft 'Wildflower' paper collection.
The simplicity of this layout is absolutely stunning.
Again, another gorgeous chipboard from Scrap FX and title from 2 Crafty.

My final favourite of Jo's is the gorgeous layout featuring the
7 Dots Studio Hazy Days paper collection. I love this paper collection!!
This layout featured in October 2017.
I love the Facebook filter that Jo has used for her photo and the small yet effective embellishments and mixed media products to create her background.
Such a wonderful layout!

How lucky am I to be in the company of such talent?
If you would like to check out the full blog post for each of these layouts be sure to head back through the never know you may find something else you would like to check out while you are there!

Be sure to pop in next Thursday to see my favourite four created by our very talented Jane!

Have a great week!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to all of our wonderful crafty followers over here at Scrapbookit, I hope 2018 brings you all happiness, good health and exciting new adventures. AND lots of more time to craft and get those memories down on paper.
This month the design team are having a much needed month off challenges but we will still be
on here posting some of our favourite layouts that we have done over the year as well as some new layouts that we have been enjoying working on over the holidays.
This morning I spent some time going over my challenge layouts for the past year and I have chosen my two absolute favourites to share with you all again.

The first Layout I have chosen as my favourite is this one which was my first blog post for 2017. It was a great challenge that was set by Mel, we had a mood board to follow and to get inspiration from. I chose this layout as one of my favourites because of the colours and the mixed media elements that I added. I used a lot of Gesso, different coloured sprays, feathers, tassels and fussy cut flowers..
I also added some colour blast colour paste and some sequins and buttons.
This layout was extremely busy but I was extremely happy with the way it all turned out in the end!

A few close ups!

My second favourite layout that I had completed during 2017 was this one called I Love to Create. It is a total coincidence that both these layouts contain photo's of myself because as a general rule most of my layouts are of the kids and not myself, anyway I think it can be a good thing that we actually do take the time to scrap photos of ourselves from time to time.
This Layout was done in May of 2017, it was from a challenge that I had made up which was to follow the mood board, include one of the quotes, a mixed media element and also to include a photo of yourself. This is my Layout.

I used some paper from the photo play paper range which I really loved and found it extremely easy to work with, I added some colour blast paste in the bling as well as adding some to a chipboard.
I used a lot of the stickers from the sticker sheet as well as a lot of different patterned papers.
I think this is just a really fun layout that I had a lot of fun doing.

This month I am hoping to get a lot of scrapping done while the kids are on holidays, I will be posting some of these layouts on the blog as well as on our Facebook page and the Scrapbookit facebook community page so make sure to check these pages over the month.
I will also be doing a post later in the month with some of my favourite layouts of  Jo and Mel's over the past year as well.
I hope you are all having a nice relaxing day on the couch or enjoying some time scrapping.
Happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you all!
What a beautiful day it is going to be here today! Santa has been and the kids are sooo excited. We will be spending Christmas with lots of family surrounding us.
I have a layout here today that I cannot wait to share with you all.. It's very busy and full of mixed media elements which is something that I  am really enjoying doing at the moment.

I have used the Echo Park Let's be Mermaids collection again and I have had a lot of fun with it.
I started my Layout with some Kaisercraft black cardstock and applied some strips of different coloured Dylusions Paints, I really love these paints and they can be used for so many different things and the brightness of the colours is just AMAZING!

I have then applied two different shades of the blue paint over the top of the stripes using some bubble wrap, I really like the effect that this has given to my layout.
For the rest of my layout I have added some different pattern paper from the collection as well as some of the stickers and I have also fussy cut some of the mermaids and the whale out of the paper collection as well.

To finish my layout I have sprinkled some Tim Holtz distress spray over the top and it has given it a really nice golden shimmer.
I would like to wish all of our Scrapbookit blog and Facebook followers a very Merry, Safe and Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year filled with lots of special time to Scrapbook!
That's it for me for this year, I look forward to sharing with you a lot more of my creations in 2018!!!
Cheers Jane xxx

Adventure and Fun

Hi Everyone,

I am going to apologise for the lack of description and information in this post.
I know, no excuses, but unfortunately for you my world is exploding at the moment with busyness. Please forgive me!

Just a reminder...
Our December Challenge is up and running.
For your chance to win...follow these simple steps to create your project.
1. Use a black background
2. Use photos with no people
3. Follow the Pagemaps sketch

Here is what I have come up with...

I have used the gorgeous PhotoPlay Paper "Summer Bucket List"

I have created my background using black paint and the gorgeous Colour Blast Shimmer Cubes. LOVE how it turned out!!!

I haved used a ScrapFX Wordlet as my title and have colourd some of the words in the Colour Blast Shimmer Cubes.

I hope you have enjoyed this "very short" post and hope that it has inspired you to create something for our challenge.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope that you are able to share some special times with your loved ones and your friends.
