Teenagers!

Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to my next post for this months challenge. Another month that is flying by!!

We have some fantastic challenges already entered for this month. If you haven't seen them head to our Facebook page and check them out in the October Challenge album.

Our challenge this month is a sketch and recipe.

Sketch

Recipe
1. You or U
2. Circles
3. Spray
4. Template/Stencil
5.Your Favourite Product

For this post today I am going to share with you a layout I have created with the fantastic Feature Art Teenagers Collection. It is a sensational paper for your teenagers no matter what they love to do.

I started with some Colour Blast Shimmer Dust. Once I had added the water I used a spatula (old credit card) to drag the colour down the page.

I added some random sections of Colour Blast Colour Paste in Just Blue, Tangareen Dream and Sunshine.

I have used the Kaiser Template Quarters (arrows) with some Dusty Charcoal Colour Blast Colour Paste to add some features in the corners and some Just Blue Colour Blast Colour Paste through a TCW template 'Mini Tile Mania.'

I used the Kaisercraft Graffiti stamp to give a grungy look and splattered with some Dylusions spray 'Black Marble'

I added some papers from the Feature Art Collection Teenagers and fussy cut out some trickster bike embellishments.

I have used the Kaisercraft Alpha Stickers for my title and have doodled a border around the page with a felt tip pen.

I loved how this turned out...the colours are so vibrant and suit the photo to a tee!

Don't forget to enter our challenge this month for your chance to win a prize pack and check back here over the next few weeks to see what else Jane and Jo have been up to this month.

Look forward to seeing your wonderful creations!

It's all about me!!

Hello and welcome to my first post for the month of October!
We recently had a four day retreat in Bright and we had THE BEST time.. I got a lot of layouts done and finished and played around with some new techniques and colours whilst I was at it! I will pop some of my layouts up on the Scrapbookit Facebook page, to hopefully give you some Inspiration.
Mel has given us such a great sketch to work with this month as well as a scrapping recipe for us to follow!
We are to include these 5 things,  1. U or You, 2. Circles, 3. Spray, 4.Stencil/Template and 5. Your Favourite Product. Here is the sketch.

I had a lot of fun with my Layout, it's a picture of my son when he was only a few month's old! He is now 6!! Time flies.. Here is my Layout.

This month I have been lucky enough to use some Adorable products from www.scrapbookit.com.au. All of these products are available for purchase at extremely reasonable prices.

Products Used:

Kaisercraft Cardstock and Basecoat
Echo Park That's my boy
Echo Park That's my boy sticker sheet
Gesso
Tim Holtz Circle stencil
Wooden Chipboard
Dylusions Spray:
Sharpie Fineliner
Twine
Ribbon

I have used the U/you in the little round sticker that says You are my No 1, I have incorporated a lot of circles on my page including the two black ones that I have drawn freehand with a sharpie, I have used three different colour Dylusions spray in the Fresh Lime, Postbox Red and Periwinkle Blue, I have used a Tim Holtz Stencil on the top right corner of my page and my Favourite product at the moment would have to be my Dylusions Spray's and Paints! The colours are SO vibrant and the different effects you can get with them all is amazing!

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for their October Challenge Layouts..

Hazy Days 7 Dots Syudio

Welcome to another share of our wonderful challenge, set by DT member Mel.

This month we have a sketch to follow , which I love because it gives you a great starting point. We also have 5 other requirements to add to our projects.

1. U or You
2. Circles
3. Spray
4. Stencil/Template
5. Your Favourite Product.

So here is my take on the challenge

This month I am creating with the fantastic 7 Dots studio's 'Hazy Days' . This range is just great to create those pages that you want to look a bit grungy. I followed the sketch and have used different pages in the range. I have used a photo that has been altered with a filter from Facebook which I thought was a bit funky. My circles are a new product from ScrapFX and are a silhouette cardstock diecut, I have sprayed sections of my background with a 'ColourBlast' spray 'Saffron'.
Using my favourite product 'ColourBlast Paste' Leather this time, I have put it through a Kaisercraft template to give the splatter effects. The funky arrows are also from ScrapFx. My title is a lightbox letter that I have just glued in place.

Because we have just been to retreat I had the opportunity to get lots of pages completed, here is another page using the 'Hazy days'.

Lots of 'Deep Water' ColourBlast Paste, Lindy Stamp Gang sprays,ScrapFX chipboard and Kaisercraft Templates were used to create this page.
All available instore now.

So I hope you get some time join us for this months challenge. Entry closes October 30th.

Happy Scrapping

Welcome to October!

Welcome to October!

I am writing this post from our Spring Retreat...we have had an absolute hoot of a weekend, such a shame that anything good has to come to an end!
We have scrapped, laughed and celebrated our bride to be (Joanne ~ owner of Scrapbookit!) with a high tea and an Op Shop Bride and Bridesmaid dress up. I'm sure if you keep an eye on our Facebook page there is sure to be some photos posted!
Anyway, a great weekend!

I am here to share with you our new challenge for this month.

This month we have continued with a sketch (who doesn't love a good sketch) but this time we have a scrappy recipe to go with it.
So the challenge is to use this gorgeous Susan Stringfellow (http://sketchsavvy.blogspot.com.au/) sketch. Thanks again to Susan for allowing us to use her gorgeous sketch. To go with the sketch you need to incorporate the following five things...
1. U or You
2. Circles
3. Spray
4. Stencil/Template
5. Your Favourite Product

Here is what I have come up with...

This month I have used a variety of products. The majority of papers I have used are part of the Feature Art 'Teenagers' Collection. What great products for those teenagers in our lives!

I have started with a background "Speckled" from the Kaisercraft Basecoat IV Collection.

I have used the Kaiser 'Spotty' Template and some Heavy Gesso on the background. I then lightly sprayed over the gesso with Dylusions Ink Spray 'Periwinkle Blue.'

I used some of my favourite product Colour Blast 'Shimmer Cubes' in Sienna and Apple of my Eye to splatter around the background.

I have used the Kaiser Mini Designer Template - Splatter and the Dylusions paint 'Lemon Zest' for the larger yellow circles.

I then used another of my favourite products, Colour Blast Paste in Apple of My Eye, Dusty Charcoal, Tangareen Dream and Sunshine and a Scrap FX Circle Border Punch to create my circles around the layout.

The chipboard pieces 'Aaron's Arrows' I have used are from 2Crafty. I have painted them with the Colour Blast Shimmer Cubes in Apple of My Eye, Sunshine and Dusty Charcoal.

I have finished my layout off with a little embellishment with the word "You" on it from the Cocoa Vanilla 'You Rock' Collection, some little puffy stickers from Cocoa Vanilla, a white stitch line using a gel pen, a title using the Kaisercraft black Alpha Sticker Sheet and some twine.

You have until the end of the month to get your entry in for this month's challenge.
Don't forget you have several options for entering. You can link your entry via your online space with Inlinkz (see right hand panel), email them to Joanne for her to post them or post them to our Facebook page.

We can't wait to see your entries for this month's challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back for some inspiration from the lovely Jane and Jo throughout the month!

Happy Birthday Gina.

Hi! How is everyone going with their challenge layouts for this month? We would love to see some more entries in, you could be the winner of a very generous Prize pack from Jo @www.scrapbookit.com.au! I am all packed and SO EXCITED about our upcoming retreat this weekend.. Only 3 sleeps to go and I Cannot wait.
.
Here is our challenge for the month.

I have done another Birthday Layout, this one is of my niece's 1st Birthday which was 16 years ago! I felt old scrapping this picture, it seems only yesterday that we were waiting for her arrival.
I have used the Photo Play Party Girl paper again, it is so easy to work with and really great for all of the girly pictures that might need scrapping.

Here's my Layout.

I have used a lot of the different pattern paper as well as cutting out one of the cut apart sheets, the little cluster down the bottom I have made by using a variety of different stickers from the sticker sheet as well as some stickers scattered all over the page.

For my background I have used some black cardstock which I have sprinkled with some gold Heidi shine, it's a little hard to see on the picture but it looks quite effective with the other papers.

The kid's have had a few birthdays to go to this month so I made a few really quick cards with some of the leftover paper and stickers.
To make these quick cards I have simply  used a 12x12 piece of cardstock which I have applied Gesso to then I have used all different colour Dylusions Ink Sprays using the packaging technique and then I finished it off with some gold Heidi Shine Spray.
I then cut this paper up into card size pieces and adhered to a card, I then added a few stickers from the photo play Party Girl paper, a doodley border then it was finished a very quick easy, yet effective birthday card made.

I hope you have enjoyed my Layouts this month, I look forward to sharing some of  my finished layouts from the retreat over on Jo's Scrapbookit Facebook page over the next month.
Until then Happy Scrapping

That's My Boy

Good morning everyone!
I hope that this post finds you all well and starting to enjoy a small touch of warmer weather.

I am a little strapped for time today so this will be a shorter than normal post. Sorry!
I hope that you still take something from my post today!

Have you entered this months challenge???
It is a fantastic challenge - easy to follow, easy to create with and sensational colours.
Not to mention lots of fun!

Check out the prompts...

Be sure to get your entry in by the end of the month for your chance to win a Scrapbookit Prize Pack!

For this, my second post this month, I have stuck to the sketch as my base. I love this sketch...it is gorgeous and so easy to work with!

My layout is quite simple...nothing fancy, it is quite basic!
Here it is...

Again, I have used the bright, fun papers from the Photo Play Collection 'Party Boy'
They are really easy to use. It is great that some of the papers can be used for layouts that are not necessarily about birthdays and birthday celebrations.

I have painted the Kinder Kreations Chipboard words 'That's My Boy' in orange paint and have added some Glossy Accents over the top.

I have finished off the layout with some of the Sticker Elements, some which I have elevated and others that are not.

We are frantically preparing for the retreat - which is next week! Ahhhhhhhh!
It is so exciting and I can't wait!

Well, I hope that you like what I have created and it has given you some inspiration to jump on board and enter this months challenge.
Apologies once again for a quick post.

Have a great week everyone!

Mel
