The Gorgeous Webster's Pages

Morning Everyone,

I am back again to share with you some more projects for this month.

Don't forget our challenge is up and running... Jess has set it this month.
All you need to do is create a project that has paint, sprays, texture and splatter.
Make sure you get your entries in by the end of the month!

I have created another layout using the Webster's Pages 'In Love' collection.
Yet again another wedding photo but this time celebrating my Dad and his involvement in our special day! It meant the world that he supported us throughout the organising, the day and still to this day supports us in everything we do. Thanks Dad!

Here is what I have created...

I love the simplicity of this layout.
I have used...Webster's Pages 'In Love' range, some Kaisercraft 'Lucky' Wooden Flourishes and title. I have used the ColourBlast 'Snow White' Paste and a heart template for the hearts.

Here are some close ups...

The flowers are from The Dusty Attic and I have coloured the Kaisercraft Lucky Wooden Flourishes and the Kaisercraft 'Treasured Memory' title using the gorgeous Ken Oliver Liquid Metals - Pewter.
I sprayed my flowers with Heidi Swapp Colourshine Spritz - Blush.

The little quote I have used is from the Kaisercraft Clear Stickers - Family.
How cute are those hearts that are created with ColourBlast Colour Paste - Snow White?
And that little corner by Kaisercraft, coloured with Ken Oliver Liquid Metals....just divine!

Well I hope that you have enjoyed hearing about my little project.

Part of my pack this month were some Darkroom Door Photo Chips. When I first saw these I didn't know how I would use them.
In the end I decided to create some very basic cards with them.
Here they are...

I have teamed the Photo Chips with some cardstock, some of the Kaisercraft Lucky Wooden Flourishes, some word stamps and bling.

For these cards I have teamed the Photo Chips with a word strip from Darkroom Door.

And finally a bit of stamping, Kaisercraft Lucky Wooden Flourishes and some Kaisercraft Clear Stickers - Love with the Photo Chips.

Well, that is all from me today. Don't forget to get your entry in and pop back next week to see what Jo has been creating with these gorgeous papers.

Happy Scrapping!

Precious Moments

Morning Everyone,

I'm here to share with you today my first project for the September challenge.
(Oh wow! September! Where is the year going?)

As Jo said in her last post, we are both using the same paper collection this month.
The Webster's Pages 'In Love' range. These papers are so gorgeous! I love them.

Jess has set our challenge this month and if you love all things messy then you will love this one.
Create a project using paint, sprays, texture and splatter.

Here is the project that I have come up with...

Finally...scrapbooking a wedding photo!
I haven't scrapbooked my wedding album but have done a few odd photos here and there.
It was nice to sit and remember what a special day it was ...18 years ago! Eeeeeekkkk!

As I said, I have used the Webster's Pages 'In Love' collection.
I started by spraying the background with some Kaisercraft 'Antique Gold' Mist.
I then added some texture using The Dusty Attic's "Heart Attack Stencil" and some Finnabair 'Art Basics Heavy Gesso' in white.

After drying the gesso, I used some Versamark Watermark Ink with the stencil and added some Tinby Designs Metallic Melts 'Gold Nugget' and heat set the powder.

I then reheated the Metallic Melts and sprinkled some Colour Blast Embossing Powder 'Dusty Charcoal' over the top and heated this so it blended in.
As you can see in the close up some of the Colour Blast has melted around the hearts which I love.

I stamped over the hearts using the Kaisercraft 'Background Script' Clear Stamp and some Black Archival Ink. I splattered some Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint 'Metallique Gold Rush' which I had mixed with a few drops of Kaisercraft Mist 'Charcoal.'
I then also painted the gorgeous Kaisercraft Lucky Dip Wooden Shapes 'Love' with this mixture.
I dropped some Charcoal mist around the page using the stalk from the bottle.

I added the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard Phrase 'Precious Moments' to the layout after embossing with both Colour Blast Embossing Powder 'Dusty Charcoal' and Metallic Melts 'Gold Nugget.'
The gorgeous little flowers are from The Dusty Attic.

I finished off with a little feature in the top left using the Art Alchemy paint, paper, some Kaisercraft pearls and I stamped using an old wooden 'love' stamp from my stash.

All of these gorgeous products can be found at Scrapbookit or can be ordered from Jo.

Please make sure that you get your entry in this month...a great chance to show off your skills and talents as our Guest Design Team Member if you win!

Until my next post...Happy Scrapping!

Webster's Pages

Welcome to another Spring day here at Scrapbookit.

I'm back to share my first post of the month with 2 Layouts I did this week using a couple of photo's from my daughter's Deb Ball on the weekend.
This month Mel and I are both using WebsterPages 'In Love' range.
I couldn't go past these beautiful papers to record the memories of the ball, but they are suited to many other occasions as well.
For this month's challenge 'Get Messy' that Jess set we had to use paint, sprays, texture and splatters.

I have painted my Kaisercraft Die Cuts with Distress Metallic Spray 'Silver'. My splatter is using Ken Oliver's Liquid Metals 'Metallic Rose' (although this doesn't show in the photo it has a great shimmer). My texture is using a Dusty Attic stencil with texture paste.

My second layout I have used the same stencil for some texture and I have used the New ColourBlast 'Shimmer Dust' Navy to colour my texture past, I added some to water to creat a spray for my background and to colour my chipboard from Dusty Attic and ScrapFX. These new powders are so versatile and are just so super shimmery, I love them. We have all 12 colours in store.

There you go, I hope you are getting some time to join us in our September Challenge?? Don't forget entries close on the 30th.
Things are all go,go,go here at Scrapbookit headquarters for our Retreat in one month. Looking forward to sharing a great weekend with some fabulous talented girls. If you are keen to join us drop me an email and I will squeeze you in. :)

Happy Scrapping

September challenge

Morning Everyone

and welcome to our September challenge and the beautiful spring weather.

This month we have GDT member Jess Whitehead who has set a fun challenge for us.

Welcome Jess

Hi, my name is Jess and I am super excited to be the guest designer at Scrapbookit this month. I started scrapbooking a few years ago when my best friend Mel introduced me to it. Since then I have grown to love scrapping and I enjoy learning new techniques and creating different things. At the moment I am into all things messy!! Which is what my challenge for this month is all about.

Make a mess - use paint, spray, texture and splatter!

I have created 2 layouts this month using the fantastic Bo Bunny - Powder Mountain paper I got from Jo.

I have scrapped using 2 photos from my first trip to the snow. It has been a long time since I have been to the snow but I remember it being cold, wet and totally awesome!! Hopefully I can go back one day soon.

For my first layout I started with some gel medium and a template. I randomly put some patches on my cardstock. Then I got messy with splattering some white Dylusions paint over the background. Splattering is one of my favourite things to do and I always make sure to do it outside because paint goes everywhere! Next I mixed 4 different kinds of spray. I used 3 Kaiser Mists - denim, aqua and white and I made my own spray using Color Crush - Blue Heaven and water in a spray bottle. I made this really wet and tapped it so the spray would run down my page. To complete my layout I added some of the Bo Bunny - Powder Mountain paper. I have distressed the edges and inked them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot. Some wire from my stash completed my layout.

For my second layout I used some Color Crush - Blue Heaven mixed with texture paste through a template to create some texture in the background. Then I used some white Dylusions paint in a little drip bottle to create swirls on my page which I then sprinkled some Color Crush - Blue Heaven on in patches to see what effect it would have. It turned out quite cool giving the paint a spotty look. Then I added some Color Crush - Blue Heaven to the paint in my drip bottle and mixed it up before dripping it over my page. I enjoyed experimenting with the Color Crush and seeing what I could do with it. I used some Stickles glitter which I got in my pack from Jo to add little highlights to the snowflake which is a sticker from the Powder Mountain sticker sheet. Finally I used Colour Blast Colour Embossing Powder - Snow White on the Kaisercraft wooden flourish - Christmas Star.

I really enjoyed using the kit I received from Jo this month and being a guest designer. I hope you  enjoyed seeing what I created. I can’t wait to see what everyone makes for the challenge this month!

Jess :)

Love what you have done Jess, I look forward to seeing everyone's take on this challenge. Remember entries can be emailed to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au or uploaded via Inlinkz in the side bar. Entries are due by 30th September.

Have a wonderful week

Happy Scrapping Jo.

Forever Young

Morning everyone,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend? I dropped in this morning to share one more project I created using my pack this month 'BoHo Dreams' from Kaisercraft.

Wow I actually scrapped a photo of myself!! Something I do very rarely but like us all should do much more of. This paper with the Title 'Forever Young' has a bit of a pull at my heart as we lost someone special recently that will stay Forever Young because of that horrible illness Cancer. I also thought as I used this phot how nice it would be if we could just live life as if we were Forever Young. Just 'Imagine'.

I have added lots of texture by adding the new Colour Blast Mica powder 'Watermelon' to some Gesso and the Kaisercraft template. I sprayed some Sizzix die cuts with 'Coffee Kaisercraft Mist' and also added some Prima paint's.

Don't forget you still have until the 30th to get your entry into our challenge. Come on girls, you could win a great pack of goodies and be a GDT Member.

Our Retreat is coming up soooo fast, don't forget to share the word as we still have room for anyone who would like to join us. Oct 7-9 2016.

Happy Scrapping

A little more Barber Shoppe!

Hi Everyone,

Feels like our weather has gone backwards...we've had a week of glorious weather after all the rain but the rain is back! Not to mention the cold!

Well, I guess a positive of the weather being this way is that it is great crafting weather.

I'm here today to share with you a few more projects using the Kaisercraft collection 'Barber Shoppe'

In July, Jo and I headed down to the 'Retailers Days at Kaisercraft'
We did a couple of classes there and one of them was using the 'Barber Shoppe' collection. This is one of their newer collections, only released to the public this month.

As you would know I love creating masculine pages...so this collection is right up my alley!

In both of my projects today I am celebrating some of the most important men in my life. Just like the last post that I did...it is perfect timing... created just in time to honour those men for Father's Day!

My first project celebrates my hubby! He is so genuine, unique, supportive and caring and I am very, very thankful that I met him (all those years ago) and have him in my life. He is also an exceptional Dad to our son. Don't know where I would be and who I would be without him.
Here is my first project...

All products used are Kaisercraft. One of the new templates that they have brought out this month is rather trendy...it is another quarters one called "Grunge"

I have also used it in my second project.

All of the little embellishments are either from the collectables pack or from the sticker sheet. The cogs are from the wooden flourish packs.

My second project is celebrating my Dad. I am truly blessed and thankful that I have him in my life. He is definitely one of a kind and I can't thank him enough for all of the precious moments and memories that he has been a part of.

I'd just like to point out the specialty paper that we used for the background. It is an embossed like paper and is my favourite part of this layout.

Again, all of the products that I have used are from Kaisercraft.

Loved creating these layouts. Thanks to Melissa Kennedy for the inspiration.

Make sure you grab these products from Jo at Scrapbookit and getting creating to honour and celebrate the men in your lives this Father's Day.

Don't forget that we have our 'Free to be You' challenge running until the end of the month. A great opportunity to show case how clever you are. Entries need to be emailed to Jo or linked to the blog by August 30.

Hope you have time to get crafty this week.
